Coach & Athletic Director Frank Broyles

The Link below will take you on a short photo tour of Coach Frank Broyles 50 year long career at the University of Arkansas, first as head coach beginning in December 1957, then as Athletic Director and fundraiser for both the Athletic Department and the University itself. The first few photos picture JFB as a schoolboy baseball player and then as an all-conference quarterback at Georgia Tech for his coach  Bobby Dodd, and still later as a member of Dodd's coaching staff.

Also included are a few photos of Coach and his wife Barbara on their wedding day and after arriving at his new job in Fayetteville.

The next few photos show Coach Broyles in his first head coaching job at the University of Missouri in 1957.
Broyles spent only one season at Missouri before AD John Barnhill at Arkansas called to interview for the open head coaching position vacated by Jack Mitchell.

Several articles courtesy of Dave Campbell's Arkansas Football are also included.
